Life can’t be predicted and no matter how much one tries to plan things and do things a certain way, life always flows the way it is supposed to even though it doesn’t stick to one’s plans. Polarity was one of those projects, an experiment, that started with a great idea and a lot of ambition but ended up falling through for various reasons. It’s purpose was to explore the meaning of “man” and “woman”, their differences and similarities. It was a research that questioned gender, perception, society, and whose final answer was about unity and equality. Artists Sandra Knego, Cristian Todorović and I wanted to create a series of photographs with the intervention of graphics and illustrations but unfortunately had to abort the project. The reason why we decided to display the photographs even though they are unfinished is because we wanted to showcase how amazing human beings are, similar in their differences, beautiful in their nakedness.
This is also a way to thank our wonderful models and friends for being a part of the project as well as my assistants Jasna Pašalić and Renato Buić.
